Global Solidarity: Reflections by Carter Dillard and Bobak
International guests Carter Dillard—legal scholar, founder of the Fair Start Movement, and author of Justice as a Fair Start in Life—and Bobak, a global ally of equity-driven governance, offered reflections on how Uganda’s community efforts are an example to the world.
“What the Women Care Groups are doing here is not charity, it’s a blueprint for global justice. We must recognize their leadership in shaping a world that gives every child a fair start,” Carter stated.
The pair underscored the moral and legal obligation of states and institutions especially in the Global North to reform outdated family planning and child welfare frameworks. They pledged continued international support for Uganda’s grassroots-led efforts.
